FAQ

What should I bring?
A blanket or low chairs for your picnic setup, plus any food or drinks you'd like to bring along.

Can I bring my dog?
No. Dogs and other pets are not permitted at Mesa Verde Lavender during these sessions. The lavender is a crop, not just a backdrop. Because the lavender is harvested and used in a variety of products, the farm maintains restrictions on pets within the fields. Service animals are welcome as required by law.

What if I have accessibility needs?
Mesa Verde Lavender is a working farm with uneven terrain, gravel pathways, and agricultural infrastructure. If you have accessibility needs or mobility concerns, please contact Katie before booking so accommodations and session logistics can be discussed in advance. While every reasonable effort will be made to create a successful experience, the property is not a fully ADA-accessible public facility.

Is this kid-friendly?
Yes! Children are welcome. Please keep an eye on little ones around the picnic area and barn porch.

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the event are eligible for a refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for a refund, as we may not be able to fill that spot.

What happens if it rains?
The session will still take place rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe, in which case we'll reach out to reschedule or refund.

Can I purchase products while I'm there?
Yes! Our lavender products and MaxVOO olive oils will be available for purchase during the event.

ECHORA'S GARDEN GATHERING
$60.00

MOVED TO 10AM

Mesa Verde Lavender Farm - Saturday, July 4th

Paint, breathe, and take something beautiful home.

Join Lauren Echo of Echora for a morning of painting pottery at Mesa Verde Lavender Farm in Mancos, Colorado. Lauren will guide you through painting techniques and help you learn how to translate the plants and landscape around you into your own art. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to slow down.

YOU'LL:

✦ Paint your handmade cup with techniques taught by Lauren

✦ Learn how to translate the plants around you into your art

✦ Walk the lavender grounds for inspiration

✦ Choose your interior glaze finish

INCLUDED:

✦ Handmade ceramic cup

✦ All paints & materials

✦ Lavender tea

✦ Final cup firing after painting

✦ Time to enjoy the lavender fields in bloom

YOUR CUP

Since each cup is fired after the event, you won't take it home that morning. After the gathering, Lauren will glaze the interior and put your cup through its final firing. About 3 weeks later she'll reach out to coordinate pickup in Durango or arrange shipping if needed.

Shipping is available for an additional cost. An invoice will be sent and must be paid before your cup is shipped.

ABOUT LAUREN & ECHORA

Echora was built on a love for the handmade.

Lauren has been an artist for as long as she can remember. Her first ceramics class was in high school and she fell in love immediately, continuing through college and community studios, finding time at the wheel whenever she could.

In 2020 she lost access to her pottery studio and leaned into her digital work instead, spending five years as a freelance artist and illustrator helping brands build their visual identity. She loved it. But somewhere along the way she started missing the feeling of making something from dirt.

In December 2025, she cleared out her garage in Durango and built a pottery studio from scratch. Echora is the result. Every piece is hand-thrown, glazed and fired slow, and made to live in your home rather than sit on a shelf.

This gathering is an invitation to step into that same feeling.
