More about The Cookout:
The Cookout Mutual Aid Fund is a grassroots, community-centered fund dedicated to meeting the immediate needs of marginalized people, especially people of color, in the Four Corners region. Rooted in the spirit of solidarity—not charity—this fund provides quick, no-strings-attached financial support for basic necessities like rent, food, clothing, transportation, medical bills, and booth fees for artists and vendors. There are no applications, interviews, or gatekeeping—just trust, care, and community.
Founded by and for people who understand the importance of mutual care, the Cookout Mutual Aid Fund is fueled by donations from neighbors, friends, and allies. Every dollar raised goes directly to helping someone get through the day, the week, or the month a little more safely and with dignity.
It’s not a nonprofit. It’s not a grant. It’s a lifeline—and an act of love. Fostering unity & resilience for communities of color in SWCO through outdoor experiences, cultural celebration, advocacy and mutual aid FOR ALL.
